As for me, I’ve been a freelance makeup artist and hair stylist for close to nine years now. At the age of 28, I decided it was time for a change. Makeup skills had always come naturally to me and when my younger sister asked me to help with her prom makeup, I had an epiphany that this could be a new career opportunity. After doing some research, I found a new school opening up in Seattle, I signed up and became their very first student. For the first month it was literally just my teacher and myself. When I graduated six months later, their classes were fully booked!

I was getting work even before I graduated and have been getting consistent work since. I’ve met some amazing people, been to some beautiful locations and worked on many different types of projects. Everything from my specialties in weddings to music videos, short films and photo shoots of different types. 

I would say that my specialty is weddings for the typical “PNW, bare minimum makeup type of gal”. I love taking my clients and giving them what I like to call a “polished, enhanced” version of yourself. It’s extremely important to me that when you look in the mirror, you look and feel like yourself!
